This short film documents the crafting of a live-edge ash table I built at Carleton College as part of an advanced woodworking class. All of the wood (ash, box elder, and walnut) is from the college’s arboretum and was milled in 2011 at the sawmill on campus. The project was completed over the course of 4 weeks while I was juggling Computer Science homework, Art History papers, and Ultimate Frisbee practice. Although I was unable to document all steps of the project, I am pleased with the resulting film.
