10 Biggest and most Powerful Excavators in the World

Excavators caterpillar, komatsu, Liebherr, volvo or hyundai, which measure more than 20 meters and weigh more than 800 tons and are used for large scale mining work. Hydraulic excavators that are used to load large mining trucks in large scale mining jobs such as the extraction of gold and other minerals such as copper, silver, aluminum or iron.

I saw the Liebherr R9800 in action when was in mine sites construction in Western Australia some years back, most of our camp turned up to see it's first day of operation and let me tell you the sheer scale of this thing can only be appreciated properly up close. An absolute apartment block on tracks.  The biggest piece I've operated was a was a 65k lbs CASE excavator , I can only imagine the power of these monsters ,I bet is awesome. I love the smell of diesel in the morning.  I ran a mini excavator and a John Deere s100 That's some big stuff! Operating weight of 300 lbs.  I was sure big Muskie would be on here. I guess it’s bucket only held 220 cubic yards though and only weighed 12,000 tons. How big was your #1 again  Komatsu PC8000, Liebherr 9800, and CAT 6060 is the best, and they appear in movie as Demolisher and Scavenger plus Devastator  The Doosan DX800LC, Kobelco SK850LC, John Deere 870GLC and Volvo EC950EL are better than the CAT 395 NG No way!!  The biggest excavator made in the world is the cat 6090, it’s bigger than a Lebheire 9800. The lebheire is an 800 ton machine and the cat 6090 it is a 900 ton machine
