10 Largest Articulated Trucks in the World (Dumper Trucks)

Articulated trucks for construction and mining works, that transport large amounts of sand or rocks in quarries or mines. Articulated dumpers or articulated dump trucks, measuring more than 10 meters and weighing more than 30 tons, which can carry loads in excess of 50 tons

CAT 740GC and CAT 745 are great trucks. I currently drive a 740GC with 835.5 hours on it. I’ve also operated the Komatsu HM300. I’m not a fan. I’ve also operated the John Deere 460 an older model though. The Deere was a solid truck that in my mind easily contends with CAT. I would love the opportunity to operate an A60H.  No1 volvo. Had the pleasure of operating one of these. Amazing truck. Very comfatable. Load counter showed total weight loaded I was 105 tons and you wouldn't know it the way it handled. Its a 10 for me.  The problem with larger machines is that they can be difficult or expensive to transport; practically every 60t machine requires some modification even when using a low loader, spreader axle float and operating in 2nd level oversize/overheight restrictions (escort, late night driving etc.).
This is a major reason why only the very largest civil jobs have anything over the 45/50t range in loaders, dozers, moxies or excavators.
A Komatsu WA600 wheel loader requires a spread axle low loader and bucket transported lengthways on the trailer, a WA800 requires either wheels or cab to be removed before transport.
A HM400 can be transported on a large spread axle trailer, oversize, a HD605 quarry truck requires the walkways and stairways to be removed, the mirrors taken off or unfastened and folded in and transported on a low loader at over 4.2m wide, scraping the ground and scraping bridges at 5m high.  Volvo is by far the best articulated trucks ever built and I know for a fact because I have loaded every damn one of them and when I say that I mean Volvo cat John Deere Komatsu but Volvo is by far the best ever built
