 For those wondering why they don't just "take it out of gear": The tracks will not spin freely (without the engine running) unless you disassemble the planetary gears which make up the final drives on the rear sprockets... no small task on machinery of this size, especially in those conditions. If the dozer's engine won't start, "neutral" doesn't function, and the tracks won't move.  Don't know why on those type of jobs they don't have at least one dozer with a logging winch on it, make things so much easier.  I watched this for 1:30 and they had another Shantui and an orange frontloader running around right by these two trying to pull this out. With those other two helping this would have been out in 15 minutes.
