BULLDOZER SCRAPPING BY VTN SHEAR CI7000

I've watched this several times throughout the years and it never ceases to amaze me. The power that modern hydraulics systems can generate are staggering. The forces along the cutting adges and mating surfaces are  just incredible. That went through those rams like a grown man tearing a piece of cardboard. That is mind blowing power.  It's amazing how powerful that arm is cutting through the dozer arms. You can see the heat come off both arms that have been cut in the cold air due to the intense energy used to cut the metal in half (steam/condensation) not dust.  Simply too sad to finish watching. You see it all the time, either the owner thought it was worth 20K and when nobody would pay what he thought it was worth he scrapped it for 2K. Or, it was the pride and joy of some old timer and when he died his family just scrapped it without even trying to sell it. Hate to see perfectly salvageable old iron cut up and made into crappy chinese junk. That machine looked pretty damn good at the beginning, far better than most of my projects start out.  Still use an old international TD14 on our ranch. Never had much issues with it, even after sitting in a field for a year.  Old technology now, but it works.  The days when you needed to be a real equipment operator to operate.  Start er up on gasoline first, when it gets hot push in rod and give throttle at the same time. Good to go.
