This is one of the latest derailments along the West arm of Kootenay lake right across frm Crescent Beach. Could not resist just hopping in and having a look! Nice day and a nice dive too! Nothing becomes more interesting than taking a large machine and dropping it into the water upsidedown!

Why is this excavator underwater Can this be considered Salvage LOL how the heck did that machine end up oin the lake Insurance claim  great video!  You know if you get a long length of hydraulic hose, and run it from the pump of another excavator on the bank, and connect it to the hydraulics of the sunken excavator (bypassing its own engine and pump) you can literally drive it right up out of the lake, right
