This time the oak log with the root was cut into saw cuttings. Before cutting, this log was thoroughly washed off the ground with a high-pressure washer, but still nothing went according to plan. Never cut an oak log like this... Love it when a nice sharp blade is throwing out chips like hash browns. I remember doing some stump removal work and how hard that was on the sacrificial old blade I used for the job. Even after water washing and in sandy no-rock soil, the blade went dull quickly. You never saw such polished and glistening chainsaw teeth though! If I had to work in a rocky stump, I'd try one of those carbide tipped chains.
