Cat 980 M Series wheel loader, loading Volvo FH 12 6x4 and 6x2 trucks with KEL-BERG trailers, with gravel, in a gravel pit in Denmark. To those who think he went into the pile too fast, well not really, he screwed up when he failed to straighten out his bucket before hitting the pile. He also immediately started to bite (that's why his ass was lifting off the ground) instead of accelerating forward while lifting his boom (this keeps your front wheels from losing traction). I don't know, I'm just say... I ran one of this at my old job they have a great amount of torque and speed for its size even with a 12 yard bucket this thing will make things really easy if you know how to operate it correctly. I ran a CAT 980-C for about 12 years. It had a 8.5 yard bucket. I mostly loaded plaster sand, roofing stone, and septic stone. Miss doing that job. That’d be his last day on the job if he was working for me. Far to fast into the pile, speed makes up for lack of technique. The nodding the bucket in the dig is a no no. Why drive a mile to load the trucks
