So we got a call that a logger had two skidders, a shear and a dozer stuck, so we tried first with the dozer because it was closer... but ended up having to bring the Trackhoe in to get it out!
I see excavators in action all the time and I honestly can’t possibly grasp the power they have. Another fine recovery! Bring out the big guns!! woo hoo! Man, that was some serious swamp goo!!!! Nice work! the power of an excavator is amazing, gotta love hydraulics. Was this complete operator error or would it of most probably ended up happening to a lot of the people who would go through the same place A single tire skidder should have never been in a wet place like that to start with. Bad decision on the driver and whoever told him to go there in the first place. why do these logger not run tire chains not only do they provide tire protection but they will go so much better in mud ice climbing over whatever ive been in logging business for a long time in vt never would run a skidder without chains they just wont perform as well
