With just a few hours of work remaining on the contract, the CAT 374DL elevated excavator sunk into a unknown soft area of seabed which collapsed as the digger passed over it and got stuck, then the tide came in. The soft area was probably caused by large concrete coastal defences being removed from the beach after WW2.

A very large cat went to sea sea sea to see what he  could  see see see  and all he could see see see was the bottom of the  deep blue sea sea sea bell end!!!!  They where digging a trench for the wind farm to run cables in land and this guy got stuck. Lancing sea front  Excuses, excuses. There is no real excuse for losing a machine like this in the sea.
