The massive Cat 6015-B triple boom LRE excavator, with a reach of 35 meters, placing big boulders in the ocean, on a new breakwater construction in Denmark. We've seen some pretty big excavators here on the Great Lakes building and extending break walls. But I've never seen one this big. But CAT has a policy, "You dream it, Will build it. Just bring your check book" look at all the stuff they are using in the mining industry and now the Oil and Gas patches. Considering the size and weight of that machine it is very fast Boom up and down slew and dipper in and out are almost as fast as most 70 to 80 ton machines. I have spent the past week refilling a swimming pool and then cleaning skimming the pool. Operating anything in water at an extended distance takes serious effort and then you add the size of the rock armor and the size of the machine makes sense. Anyone else notice the opposing hyd. cylinders for the third boom section
Quad cylinders for the first section. Man alive this machine must have multiple pumps to power the cylinders. I guess this is the new generation, nobody knows how to operate a dragline with a claw bucket anymore, the operator may get fatigued and strain a muscle.
