The Top Largest Bulldozers in the World

The Komatsu D475A is the second largest bulldozer in the Komatsu line after the D575A, the world's largest production bulldozer.

[1] Current version is 238,960 pounds (108,390 kg), 899 horsepower (670 kW) D475A-5 Tier 2. [2] There are several versions of the D475A used in surface mining, open pit mining, quarrying and construction worldwide.

The 740 horsepower (550 kW) D475A-1 was introduced in 1986 to replace the 650 horsepower (480 kW) D455A.

The D11N was introduced in February 1986 to replace the D10. The D11N has some significant improvements over the D10, it includes a larger track and blade and a 21 inch (0.53 m) longer track.

The U blade was 21 feet (6.4 m) long and 7 feet (2.1 m) high.

This increased the blade capacity to 45 cu yd (34 m3). The weight of the D11N was 204,517 pounds (92,767 kg). The 770 horsepower (570 kW) was powered by a 2,105 cu (34.49 L) 3508 V-8 diesel engine.

The D11N's improvements made it over 10 percent more productive than the D10. In 1987, a hydraulically powered impact ripper was added to the D11N, increasing the weight to 225,950 lb (102,490 kg). This will be known as D11N Impact Ripper.
