Volvo EC 240 B Excavator, climb watch!

 I like heavy equipment. The operator is a very good skill. Very good  sound.
He made heavy weather of that! Took twice as long as it should! When you've lifted your tracks into the ledge and spin round, you don't put your bucket out that far because you run the risk of not being out the hole but you've run out of ram! With that size machine it should have enough power to push itself out with the bucket close to the cab! Anyway, he got out in the end so ok!
 You need to tuck the bucket as close to the cab when pulling this trick and use the stick to push out while tracking forward.   No point having your stick and boom stretched right out the way this guy had as it does nothing but make the manoeuvre more dangerous and unpredictable.
 I've driven diggers for years would have climbed that in 2 mins as would any handy driver pretty simple why boom out so far when lifting himself up giving himself so little ability to track back
